July – Water Lilies & Larkspur
In floriography, water lilies are often associated with resurrection and birth because of their special ability to emerge from the water. Even though their name may imply otherwise, water lilies aren’t actually a type of lily.
In Greek and Italian cultures, these water plants stand for purity, innocence, and chastity. Also, try to imagine a lake with water lilies floating on it. What do you think of when you do that? We think of peace as well as wellness and pleasure.
The other July flower is the larkspur, which is often associated with positivity and dignity. Similar to roses, the meaning of larkspur may vary depending on the color. Nevertheless, the true meaning of this flower is that it symbolizes an open, welcoming, and loving heart.
