3. Bromeliads (Bromeliaceae)

If you’re looking for a tropical plant that is easy to grow, then a bromeliad is exactly what you need. These tropical air plants (also known as epiphytes) are easily adapted to growing in pots, not to mention that they are much more resistant than many of their lush-leaved colleagues.

But that’s not all; they come in a wide range of colors, including orange, yellow, purple, green, and red, and with combinations of textures and patterns. I’m telling you, once you get a bromeliad, you’ll want to have another one (in a different color, of course).

These tropical plants can be grown in fast-draining potting soil containing sand and peat-based soil. They can also be mounted to logs or boards and hung on the wall. Make sure you water it weekly, but avoid standing water.

Here is a lovely pot that can make a good pair with your bromeliad plant!
