1. Amazonian Elephant’s Ear (Alocasia x amazonica)

The Amazonian elephant’s ear is common, but this doesn’t make it any less distinctive or majestic. What makes it unique are its large, arrow-shaped green leaves that are also ribbed with silver.

They provide seasonal displays of stunning foliage and are much easier to grow inside compared with most Alocasia species. In order to grow healthy, this tropical plant originating in southeast Asia prefers rich, fast-draining potting soil and does require regular feeding. It also needs partial shade or filtered sun, and you should keep the soil moist, making sure to avoid wet roots.

One important thing to mention is that the Amazonian elephant’s ear can be toxic to pets, so practice caution around them.
