That might sound weird, but hear us out! Lots of creatures hate the smell of substances like garlic or peppermint, which are harmless to humans.
For example, peppermint essential oil repels tons of pests, including rats, mice, roaches, mosquitoes, or any other type of bug.
All you’ll need to do is apply a couple of drops of it to a cotton ball and put it in an area where pests are likely to be around.
Many other essential oils like eucalyptus, lemongrass, and tea tree can do the trick as well. Pet owners should do their research before giving this one a try, though.
