They will notice that you didn’t vacuum and mop the floors

First impressions matter, and your guests will notice how your house looks the minute they step through your front door. In most cases, the first thing they will notice is the floor, so if there’s dust or dirt on it, you can bet they’ll see it.

This doesn’t mean that you should scrub the floors with a toothbrush every other week, but the occasional vacuum and broom might scare away any kind of dirt and debris.

After vacuuming and sweeping, make sure you get rid of any marks left, which can be mud, spilled drinks, or even streaks. This is where a vacuum-mop combo is highly practical, as it pulls double duty to save more time.
