Strawflowers

You may be used to seeing them dried and in the likes of wreaths or potpourri, but they are a popular choice for all gardeners who want a vibrant, sunny bed that will bring color to their yard time and time again.
They are not the easiest plants to care for, but as long as you follow the guidelines for them, you can easily grow a sunbed of this short-lived perennial plant, as they will be around for at least 3 to 4 years!
You need to offer them rocky or sandy soil that is mild to neutral in acidity, and they need to be in partial, if not full, shade for them to be able to thrive. What’s more, you need to make sure that they get watered at least once a week, so they are not the best choices if you live in a drought-prone area.
The best perk is that if you can offer them the environment they need and you love to craft, they make for an easy way to grow some of your own supplies!
