4. African Violets
Though colorful and lovely, African violets also earn a spot on the list of plants you should never keep in the bedroom. Look at an African violet leaf, and you’ll see that it’s hairy and thus a master at trapping dust and other chemicals floating around in the environment. This includes furniture polish (spray), ant-fungus sprays, air fresheners, etc.
This being said, you may not want to have an African violet in your bedroom, especially not on your nightstand, and especially if you’re dealing with allergies.
Not only are these plants a trigger for people who suffer from allergies, but they are also a challenge to grow as they require highly humid temperatures to stay happy and healthy.
