ZZ Plant
ZZ plants are distinguished by their wide, shiny, oval-shaped leaves that shoot upward and grow indoors fast. The plant is native to East Africa, namely Tanzania and Zanzibar.
It’s also called Zanzibar gems for its pristine, waxy leaves that are such a vibrant green color that occasionally, these indoor plants are mistaken for being fake. The ZZ plant is a tough little plant that flourishes in all corners of the world.
You can grow it just about anywhere, and it does well with minimal natural light. Even though most plants require as much sunlight as possible, this one doesn’t seem to care about it at all!
The best part about this plant is that it’s very forgiving regarding watering. It’s important to note that too much watering can cause rhizome rot, which could kill your plant if left unchecked.
In general, you should water it about every 20 to 30 days.
