Textured Ceilings
When it comes to textured ceilings, there is one enemy that unites all interior designers: popcorn ceilings. They are not as aesthetic as many once thought, and when you stop to think about it, they inspire you to go to grandma’s home rather than a home you would consider stylish and modern. Not to mention, a lot of old popcorn ceilings can end up containing asbestos, which in turn would be slowly poisoning you if they weren’t in good condition. The best course of action is to get rid of it as soon as possible!
Other types of textured ceilings are just as outdated! If you want to have your ceiling merge into the room in a stylish way, think about adding a pendant chandelier in addition to a smooth ceiling, or you can just add a splash of color instead!
