Kitchen design mistake: Not planning for enough countertop space

A well-thought-out kitchen requires intricate detailing. So it’s best left to professionals if you can manage it.

But one particular design detail that even the least experienced kitchen planner can take into account is to plan for adequate countertop space.

The ideal amount is as much as you can fit in without having to sacrifice a good flow and layout.

The basics include enough room to be able to prep enough food for at least one person, two if more than one of you cooks, displaying small appliances, stacking, washing up, and even eating.

And, obviously, it goes without saying that the best quality countertops you can afford are well worth the investment.
