5. Tile countertops
During the 1970s, tile countertops were the last trend, and everyone wanted to have them in their house. Maybe you were one of them, and now you have a beautiful avocado-green or lemon-yellow tile countertop in your bathroom.
But this is not what people like anymore, and if you want to keep up with the trends, you might need to change that countertop and replace it with wood or stone. When entering a bathroom that has a tile countertop, it can make you feel like you just entered the bathroom of an old hotel. Some people like this idea, but it is not trendy anymore.
But you can also have tiled countertops inside the kitchen, and our recommendation is to avoid them because they can make your house look pretty unsightly. And don’t even start us on cleaning grout. Tiles might look nice and durable, but they are not as easy to use as everybody thinks they are.
