The explanation for that would be that previous generations considered it awkward to have these photos in plain sight, but interior designers point out that millenials, who are accustomed to posting selfies on Facebook or Instagram, are much more inclined to show self-portraits.
8. How lonely you are

According to a Yale University study, people who take longer baths and showers are more likely to feel isolated and lonely. Experts believe they subconsciously use hot showers and baths as a substitute for emotional warmth.
This isn’t a bad thing, though. We all do that from time to time, right?
