Whole Foods debuted its home decor items spinoff, Plant & Plate, in 2018. So why house goods? “It’s a category that’s been extending for us and doing well,” says Genevieve Monette, the coordinator of the store’s personal care segment.
So, take a closer look next time you’re grocery shopping at Whole Foods, and you’ll see they have things like seasonal home decor items, copper accessories, handmade pottery, and essential oils.
The store has a drastically designed space that features locally sourced beauty, home, and garden goods, including Brooklyn-based Apotheke candles, floral crafts from Hoboken, Beaucycled jewelry, and pottery from Bridgewater designer Keiko Inouye. Products are merchandised around fresh plants.
