Use proper lighting.
If you want to upgrade your home exterior, you need to focus on both appearance and security. First things first, install icicle lights on the topmost parts of your walls. If your house has those traditional parts of sloping roofs on multiple levels, you can install them on your roof.
These lights are nothing but little bulbs and sticks that can be easily customized to seem like small pools of frozen water. If you want additional uniqueness, you could simply buy icicle lights of various colors, depending on what color patterns you have around your home.
Also, you could try out C7 and C9 light bulbs. These lights are wonderful for decorations, especially when they come in various color shades.
You could also create a pattern of multiple colors and arrange the bulbs in different colors one after another, or simply stick to two colors standing together, followed by two bulbs of the second color. You can keep the pattern in the exact same order.
