These cleaning tools are lifesavers!

Here at The Home Team, we’re big supporters of limiting your cleaning times to small, daily chunks of no more than 15 minutes or so to prevent feeling overwhelmed while at the same time maintaining a tidy home.

The problem is that mentality really works when it comes to building sustainable, long-term progress, but there’s one issue with this: What do you do when the cleaning task ahead of you is a more intense one, like sanitizing or scrubbing?

Sure, you can break the task down into smaller chunks and do it over the course of a couple of days, but there will likely be times you just want to get it over with. You don’t always have to labor for hours, though.

So, we’re here to offer a few upgrades to your arsenal, which will allow you to cut back on how long it takes you to clean. Check out these 8 genius cleaning tools… and let us know which ones are YOUR faves!

Drill scrub brush

One of the most revolutionary cleaning tools in recent times is the drill scrub brush, which is designed to attach to your… you guessed it: power drill! These handy scrub brushes can leave your home cleaner than ever without you having to contribute any elbow grease.

For the toughest messes from your grout to your shower, you can effortlessly clean away any grime and dirt without all that extra manual labor. You can even get a multipack with various types of brushes that will allow you to clean just about anything in your house.

But if you would prefer a more manual option or you don’t have a power drill, the Scrub Daddy and Mommy sponges are both well-loved and highly rated for various cleaning jobs.

Bissell Crosswave

If you want something that can make cleaning your floors effortless, get a Bissell Crosswave. This device alone vacuums and mops your floors at the same time. It’s safe to use on carpets and hard floors, meaning you can quickly and easily clean your floors.

You can even run a self-cleaning feature on the brush roll, so it’s always ready for the following cleaning session. If you have pets or kiddos in the house, this can be a genius cleaning tool for saving time and getting your home cleaner than ever.

If you have a lot of rugs, the Crosswave isn’t an excellent option for vacuuming your whole house. But it’s excellent for cleaning certain high-traffic areas and your hard surface flooring.

And if the Crosswave seems a bit too expensive or you simply want something that you don’t have to plug in, consider the O’Cedar Spin Mop instead. It’s a traditional style mop but wringing out your mop becomes very simple with the pedal spinning feature.

Trust us when we tell you that this product will simplify your life. Mopping is very near the top of chores everyone hates doing, but the spin mop has made it so much less painful.

Steam cleaner

One of the best additions you can add to your cleaning tools is the Bissell steam shot. In general, steam cleaners allow you to bash away grime and dirt while destroying germs. This is one of the best ways to remove old, stuck-on messes without harming your surfaces.

A steamer can be used to make your grout and tile shine. It’s also fantastic for door tracks and windows, which can be tough to clean. To get more value for your money, look for one with multiple uses. It’ll allow you to require fewer cleaning tools.

And if the floor and upholstery of your car need some deep cleaning, many people have raved about the Bissell Little Green to clean it up. It also works wonders on small carpet areas or home rugs.

Vacuum

We’ve all tested out many different vacuums in our lives. But out of all the cleaning tools out there, we highly recommend checking out the Shark Vertex. You’ll be amazed at how well it works and how much faster you can get the job done.

And no, you don’t have to go over the same area multiple times. But if the Vertex seems too expensive, you might find their Navigator model more budget-friendly and still has the self-cleaning roller.

You might not think that this feature makes too much of a difference, but not having to clean the roller will both save you time and you can also eliminate the yucky factor. Another fan favorite is the Roomba robot vacuum.

Many consumers swear by these cleaning tools. With this one, you can save even more precious time by having a vacuum that works on a schedule without you doing anything.

Magic erasers

Magic erasers are fantastic for tough jobs on sensitive surfaces. These melamine sponges are constructed of natural materials and are delicate on almost everything, including paint.

These are a vital cleaning tool for everything from your sneakers to your sink and can take the work out of things that would generally require a lot of scrubbing to get clean again.

If you want to use them on a wall, test a tiny surface first because they don’t work well with some paint finishes. If you have stubborn rings in your toilets, try some pumice stones. These handy cleaning tools make getting rid of them a breeze!

You’ll spend less time scrubbing, and your bathroom will be cleaner than ever before. In fact, we bet you’ll be shocked at how well these work.

Swiffer duster

The Swiffer duster is fantastic at trapping dust and allows you to throw it out instead of fluffing it back into the air, where it would land on surfaces that need to be cleaned all over again.

You can even attach this cleaning tool to a long handle to clean light fixtures, high ceilings, and ceiling fans. The Swiffer dusters do a fantastic job of trapping dust.

Some vacuums come with an attachment for this, but we’ve found that it could be more comfortable to use a Swiffer in high spaces. Another terrific option for dusting and cleaning are the E-cloth microfiber cloths.

The great thing about these cloths is they’re washable, so you can continually reuse them.

Power washer

If you’re looking for a cleaning tool that will get almost anything spotless, get a power washer. These powerful machines transmit a strong blast of water onto any surface you want, helping to wash away grime and dirt without scrubbing.

Most commonly used for sidewalks, washing cars, and decks, a power washer can be extremely satisfying. Use your power washer to clean your surfaces deep, and even bring items out of your home to get them as clean as possible before putting them back inside.

Try it on things like blinds and rugs in your driveway. Just be careful and use the proper nozzle to avoid damaging any of your things.

Using a cleaning caddy is great because it’ll allow you to carry the necessary cleaning tools from room to room more smoothly, saving you time and making the cleaning process faster.

From a multi-surface cleaner and basic cleaning rags to a bathroom cleaner, you can customize the cleaning caddy with your favorite products so you can clean a room without having to leave often to get more supplies.
